What I Learned At The Sarah Palin Rally Before They Threw Me Out

admin @ October 8, 2008 # 4 Comments

On Saturday I went to Carson, California, to attend a rally for Republican Vice Presidential candidate, Sarah Palin. For those who aren’t familiar with the city of Carson, it’s approximately 19 miles south of downtown Los Angeles. In the 2004 Presidential election, Carson, which had a population of just under 90,000, donated three times as much money to George W. Bush than to John Kerry. This year, for the 2008 elections, residents of Carson have given slightly more to Republican candidates than to Democrats by a slim margin of $3,000. Thus the gap between Republicans and Democrats in Carson has narrowed. The Palin rally, which you may have seen on youtube and TV, was held at the Home Depot ADT Tennis Stadium.

Op Ed Guest Presidential Candidate, David Jon Sponheim, “On the Destiny of US Involvement in Iraq”

admin @ September 22, 2008 # No Comment Yet

Unlike the plan to build a tri-state government in Iraq, I don’t want to force the Iraqi government to adopt any government devised by the U.S.. That can only lead to more hostility and sectarian violence. Separating people that once lived side by side in harmony makes no sense. We all have seen what the break up of Yugoslavia led to. That pattern is not the pathway to peace. It is only a new path to War.

I would offer the Iraqis a simple solution to their deeply troubled Nation. I propose that we assist the Iraqi’s in building Weapons Free Safe Zones where they can prosper in Renewable Energy Villages far away from any threat of Terror.

Fun Look Back to May 2007!: National Security and Homeland Security Presidential Directive

Thought some of you might enjoy a peek at this interesting “Presidential Directive” from May 2007. There is a lot of reading b/w the lines here, but it is especially interresting considering it was slipped by without much fanfare on the White House Official Website.

There are some fun little quotes to share, for example : “(c) “Continuity of Government,” or “COG,” means a coordinated effort within the Federal Government’s executive branch to ensure that National Essential Functions continue to be performed during a Catastrophic Emergency;” Read on!

Curious, isn’t it. Have fun! We look forward to responses

BATON-BASHED IN DENVER! IS THIS REALLY WHAT DEMOCRACY LOOKS LIKE?!

admin @ August 27, 2008 # No Comment Yet

There are characteristics essential to being a member of the peace and social justice organization, CODEPINK. Chief among them is compassion. One can hardly dedicate one’s life to improving the lives of others if there isn’t an abiding drive to help those in need. Thus, it was no surprise to those who know her when 24 year old CODEPINK member, Alicia Forrest, in search of the truth, used her camera to document the arrest of a young man swarmed and overpowered by Denver sheriffs during a demonstration in Denver.

BUSH’S KNESSET REMARKS AN APPALLING DISPLAY OF HYPOCRISY AND IGNORANCE

admin @ July 7, 2008 # No Comment Yet

President George W. Bush’s deceit has no limits. His attack on Sen. Barack Obama, suggesting the Democratic presidential candidate wants to “appease” terrorists, reaches a new low, and we should brace for more as the Busheviks desperately and ruthlessly try to cling to the White House.

“Playing to his Jewish audience, many with family members killed in the Holocaust, Bush used emotionally charged imagery and historically false parallels in a vile and shameless attempt to score political points in Israel and the United States”

“Bush showed stunning chutzpah, dropping the Nazi bomb in his speech. Recall that his grandfather Prescott Bush was enjoying the comfort of money in 1939 after his investment firm, Brown Brothers Harriman, helped feed and finance the Nazi war machine.”…

“In 2004, Britain’s Guardian scoured through National Archive documents and records in the Library of Congress that detailed Prescott Bush’s firm’s role in providing financing and banking services for Fritz Thyssen, a German industrialist and early supporter of Hitler and the Nazis.”

“So does this make Bush’s granddaddy a Nazi sympathizer and enabler? Not necessarily. It was just business. The Bushes wouldn’t let the stigma of being linked to a murderous, totalitarian regime get in their way of making a few (or millions) of dollars. Making money from war and death is genetically ingrained in the Bush family.”…
