Opinion:If You Vote Third Party and Elect McCain/Palin, This Is Who You Empower!

admin @ October 27, 2008 # One Comment

To underscore that voting third party or not voting at all will help elect McCain and Palin, and thereby re-empower the self-righteous ideologues who berated progressives, liberals, democrats, greens, libertarians, etc., for the past 8 years while their leaders were on board, I’ve asked my fantastic vlogger collaborator, Sharona L. Smith (VoiceOfAmericans2008), to compile a short video of some of the harassment we’ve endured.

Before you decide NOT to vote for Barack Obama, who I view as our most realistic HOPE to restore some sense of sanity to our rapidly failing world, I implore you to watch Sharona’s masterful 4+minute compilation of pro-Obama/pro-McCain confrontations… and more:

OpEd: Stolen Votes and Stolen Elections

admin @ October 20, 2008 # 16 Comments

I’ve been accused of dissing the election porn industry, the people like Greg Palast, Mark Crispin Miller, Bev Harris, and others who investigate, analyze, document, and publicize stolen elections while encouraging people to vote. Most of them claim that by carefully monitoring an election, it is possible to deter or prevent vote theft. Even if that were the case, which it is not, since no matter how closely you observe an election, you cannot prove that a vote was stolen until after it has been stolen, it would not prevent election theft.

Iraq War Vets Plan Action to “Force the Issue”, Demand Face Time at Final Prez Debate

admin @ October 12, 2008 # One Comment

HEMPSTEAD, N.Y – Members and supporters of Iraqi Vets Against the War (IVAW) are planning to crash the third and final Presidential debate on Oct. 15 at Hofstra University if they are not permitted to address a question to both Sen.John McCain and Sen.Barack Obama.

Debate moderator, Bob Schieffer (CBS), has been sent a letter from event coordinator and IVAW member Matthias Chiroux. “I’m writing you today as a member of Iraq Veterans Against the War to make clear the details of a demonstration we will be leading Oct. 15th at Hofstra University prior to the final presidential debate and what our demands are and will be.”

The demands are simple. Chiroux continues, “We in IVAW demand that two of our members, myself and Kristofer Goldsmith, be permitted entry to the debate and be allowed to ask each candidate one question”

If the requests are not granted, and the IVAW fail to hear from campaign and debate coordinators by 7 pm EDT, IVAW members say that they are “are willing to risk arrest by entering the debate to have their voices heard by the candidates”
