Election Day Alternatives From GlobalPundit.Org - and We’re Nuts Enough to Offer a Prediction, too…
Frankly. there’s no point in writing or chasing anything you’re already going to see on every newspaper and every newscast - SO here’s what we’re doing, and here’s our recommendation…
We’re visiting polling stations in Cook County, IL all morning - among many other things - watch for our LIVE FEEDS at various points throughout the day (and they’ll be archived) at WWW.THEUPTAKE.ORG

To underscore that voting third party or not voting at all will help elect McCain and Palin, and thereby re-empower the self-righteous ideologues who berated progressives, liberals, democrats, greens, libertarians, etc., for the past 8 years while their leaders were on board, I’ve asked my fantastic vlogger collaborator, Sharona L. Learning Democracy by Doing’ was a three day conference held at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto. The conference brought together academics, practitioners, and students from around the world to discuss participatory democracy and citizenship learning in both a local and global context. Globally, countries are suffering from a “democratic deficit” with low voter turnouts, declining citizen confidence in the political establishment, and criticism about the ability of representative democracy to ensure social inclusion and equality of opportunity for all.

As reported, ALL candidates have been invited, and one must ask about the absence of the “main candidates” in a system that a) considers itself a ‘democracy’, b) has the mainstream media not report this event whatsover, and c) fails to report on the reason that voter turnout, in the most basic understanding of math, ignores the essential majority that has no faith in the system at all to even bother registering a ballot. It’s not rocket science –in fact, it’s a cry from the people for something else. And a suspicious thing when 2 parties control access to information…

I’ve been accused of dissing the election porn industry, the people like Greg Palast, Mark Crispin Miller, Bev Harris, and others who investigate, analyze, document, and publicize stolen elections while encouraging people to vote. Most of them claim that by carefully monitoring an election, it is possible to deter or prevent vote theft. Even if that were the case, which it is not, since no matter how closely you observe an election, you cannot prove that a vote was stolen until after it has been stolen, it would not prevent election theft.
