 I look forward to participation in the  debate again and am honoured and flattered to be a selected by DigitalJournal.com  as live blogger for the Vice Presidential Debate between Delaware Sen. Joseph Biden  and  at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. 

 I have official debate access credentials but work responsibilty and finances restrict my ability to utilize them. In fairness, I did notify the credentialling department so that another media member can gain access. Karma and all that. I hope. A ticket-lottery, being coordinated by the university event coordinators is available for students. But it certainly will be one of the hottest tickets in town.

Gaffes and Long-Winded Answers?

 The debate itself will certainly be an interesting one. Apprehensive GOP members such as Newt Gingrich (even though he has grossly contradicted himself HERE, to HERE) are calling for Palin to recuse herself from the VP slot based on such performances and criticisms as this:

While Sen Biden, often articulate and certainly possessing in-depth knowledge on a wide base of subjects, can often talk his foot into his mouth:

 Really Joe? Did FDR have his dog Checkers by his side?

However, with PBS journalist par excellence Gwen Ifill, host of Washington Week and all round high water mark of American journalists as an extremely capable moderator, we can look to her to hopefully keep the kids in the sandbox.
