How Third Parties Will Navigate Around Denied Access
With Twitter off the rails, and the internet more equipped than ever to both broadcast the debates live and take live commentary, Third Party competitors who, despite having access to enough state ballots to theoretically win the electoral college.
The BOB BARR FOR PRESIDENT CAMPAIGN has also posted a form of strategy.
Dear Friend,
THANK YOU!
Bright and early this morning, we broke the $1 million barrier!
Everyone from the campaign staff along with Bob Barr and Wayne Root are grateful for the incredible support that we are receiving.
We have only 39 days left before the election and our campaign is growing stronger by the day. The campaign is organized and now our supporters are doing an impressive job of sharing ideas and going above and beyond to bring Liberty to America.
While we want to send our sincere thanks, I also want to tell you about our plans for tonight. (Unfortunately, our plans were on hold until John McCain finally made a his decision to participate in tonight’s debate.)
This evening, Bob Barr will be participating in the presidential debate via reason Magazine (as a subscriber myself, I recommend it to everyone - subscribe today).
You can watch Bob react live to the first presidential debate. He’ll answer the same questions as John McCain and Barack Obama and a few more to boot (if we can fit them in).
While it’s short notice, please join us tonight on the Internet and watch the live feed of Bob’s debate night at reason by clicking here.
It will be a long night so grab some popcorn and a beverage of choice and enjoy at least one candidate honestly answering a few questions and bringing clarity to the issues.
The events kick off at 9 p.m. Eastern but feel free to log in a few minutes earlier for a few behind the scenes videos.
While we would prefer to have Bob at Ole Miss with the two senators, this was the best alternative and we’re happy to accept reason’s invitation.
The Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD) requires 15% in at least five national polls to participate in the debates and the current, two-party candidates have acquiesced to the thresholds created by the CPD. Garnering 15% in five national polls is a high bar but not unachievable IF there were actually five national polling firms that fairly included third party and independent candidates.
Following the debate, I ask that you vote with our dollars and if you think Bob Barr was the better candidate of the night - despite not being at the actual debate because of the 15% threshold — then send us $15 before midnight tonight.
Thank you again for everything! I cannot express the appreciation that all of us here at the Barr Campaign have for you and your efforts on behalf of liberty.

We also recommend having a look at the Constitution Party and Green Party websites to view their strategies. You can have a look at our Links to the right and click on their sites there.
With 9 pm coming up on us quickly, we just wanted to say that very clearly, there are tools for everyone (with access to some kind of device). Log on, log in, and let your opinion be heard. and Loud!
We’ll be focusing on our work with www.digitaljournal.com and www.theuptake.org
Again, well be having a post debate show so please visit the previous post! Starting at midnight EST!
