Hi, thanks for dropping by my little site, it’s nice to see that there are others that see the potential of this directive, especially in our current situation and with the added power given to them by HR1955, they can make even our thoughts a crime. Kinda like “I think you are thinking about doing something wrong, so I’m going to arrest you and lock you up before you do it”.

Fun Look Back to May 2007!: National Security and Homeland Security Presidential Directive

Thought some of you might enjoy a peek at this interesting “Presidential Directive” from May 2007. There is a lot of reading b/w the lines here, but it is especially interresting considering it was slipped by without much fanfare on the White House Official Website.

There are some fun little quotes to share, for example : “(c) “Continuity of Government,” or “COG,” means a coordinated effort within the Federal Government’s executive branch to ensure that National Essential Functions continue to be performed during a Catastrophic Emergency;” Read on!

If you think it sounds naive to interpret this as giving the Exec heretofore unknown powers, then so be it.

 Curious, isn’t it?

Have fun! We look forward to responses.
